Just One Night, Part One: The Stranger by Kyra Davis – @_KyraDavis

Just One Night- The Stranger ABOUT: Kasie knows who she’s supposed to be. But one passionate night with a mysterious stranger will teach her who she wants to be. You should sleep with a stranger, her best friend whispers in her ear as they take to Vegas for one last pre-wedding fling. Despite her best intentions, when Kasie Fitzgerald enters the casino and sees him, a man whose tailored clothes belied a powerful, even dangerous, presence, she loses herself to the moment. Maybe it’s the dress, much shorter than she’d ever normally wear, or the Scotch, but something makes her give herself over to him more completely than she’s ever done with a man before.
It was supposed to be just one night. But right as she’s thinking she wants more, he shows up in her office with an agenda. As the billionaire CEO of a company that’s engaged her PR firm, his demands just became her reality…and he desires so much more than just some attention in the boardroom.

MARILYN’S REVIEW: Most definitely that show’s your not always sure what you want to what you truly want, do you ever really know yourself?? And what if you realize, what you think was right turns out to be completely wrong, will you risk the sure thing to the unknown.. Is the risk worth taking. Kasie, Dave and Robert are our main characters in this story. Kasie and Dave have been together for years, they are comfortable secure a sure things? Thou words of marriage have not been spoken it is almost assumed, is that enough for Kasie. A friend Simone suggested that she have that last fling hence “The Stranger’ what better place to find this hot man then in Las Vegas let alone at the Venetian Hotel, were the rich play. This is where Kasie meets Robert Dade and the sparks fly as does the clothes…. Kasie returns to normal life, thinking that was extremely hot and yet surprisingly tender but it’s done it’s over, mission accomplished. But of course it can’t be that simple, Now back at wotk with a new accountant being given to her by her boss, she is in PR. Maned Wolf Security Systems, Kasie is to show them their strengths weakness among the business, she’s being given a lead. Why, because she was personally asked for by the companies CEO Robert Dade. This can’t be happening, but it’s ok she will do her job and that’s all. But it’s just not that sut and dry the attraction and chemistry of that ‘Just One Night’ brings it’s own challenge. They just can’t seem to end up naked and physically connecting, the sexual tension is to strong. As the story continues Kasie learns more about herself what she has and what she’s never realized she wants. Can or should she give up Dave, can she keep Robert is it more the just physical attraction… When coming to the decision that Robert is the right person regardless that she has excepted Dave’s proposal and ring… She decides to risk it all and just go for ‘The Stranger’ – can it be even possible. No, which is why we have a part 2 & 3.. Never under estimate the fiancee… Story is great, you don’t see the end coming at all but leaves us waiting for more.. But I can’t wait for more. Well Done Kyra Davis I am a fan.

Castilian Heat by Monica Hart – @MonicaKHart

castilian_heat-new 3ABOUT: Sheila Donahue’s staid life as a PhD translator struggling to make ends meet in New York is turned upside down when she meets billionaire investor Cruz Terranova, a brooding Spaniard with a dark secret. Her ordinarily uneventful existence transforms into a dizzy adventure of forbidden love and intrigue when Manhattan Irish cool collides with Spanish passion. Castilian Heat is a lusty international romp that fans of 50 Shades of Gray, Bella Andre and Barbara Freethy are sure to enjoy.
MARILYN’S REVIEW: Boy where to start, so good and similar to many but with great story line twist and you know there will be more to come. Sheila and Cruz are our main characters, connected by a job. Cruz hires Sheila as a translator to help him with a business acquisition, he wants to make sure do to with potential language issues that nothing gets slipped up in wording. Sheila has much on her daily plate, she takes care of her sister that is ill and needs much care and help, so she take this short term job, to help bank some money for the just in case needs and a little breathing room. Sheila has not had many relationships but with the few that she has had she has never fully experience of pleasurable sex. The heart and chemistry with Cruz is instant and all consuming for both. This weeks work that she has been hired for also takes place during hurricane Sandy which of course brings it’s own issues. Curz other then being the gorgeous hot hunky male lead brings his own back story, being part of a family feud in the likes of the international mafia. Danger lurks around every corner and any given time for him and soon for Sheila too. It is a edge of your set read, hot and sensual sex scenes, real life happenings, something you can see coming but more that just leaves your needing more. If I had one complaint that I must bring up – is my love / mi amor is used almost too much, sickly sweet if that makes sense, But the story is so different and good that by the end I just didn’t care…. LOL – Good Job Ms Hart I anxiously await more.

His Wicked Games by Ember Casey – @EmberCasey

His wicked gamesABOUT: Lily Frazer would do anything to save the Frazer Center for the Arts–even take on the infamous billionaire Calder Cunningham. When Lily breaks onto the Cunningham estate, she only wants to find and reason with Calder. (All right, all right, she wants to punch him in the face, too, but that’s Plan B.) As it turns out, the arrogant billionaire is willing to give her the money he promised, but there’s a catch: she must win it from him.
And the games he has in mind aren’t exactly… innocent.
Lily isn’t about to give up the money without a fight (or let some haughty bastard seduce her), but she quickly discovers that there might be more to the brooding Calder than she initially perceived. As their games of cat and mouse become increasingly sexual in nature, she suddenly finds herself confused by her own emotions. Can she deny her attraction long enough to win the money she needs?
A contemporary, steamy take on Beauty and the Beast, His Wicked Games is a tale of devilish deeds, wild passions, and wicked romance.

MARILYN’S REVIEW: “A contemporary, steamy take on Beauty and the Beast, ‘His Wicked Games’ is a tale of devilish deeds, wild passions, and wicked romance.” – Couldn’t be said more perfect. Lily Frazer business owner of Frazer Center for the Arts, is heading to the Cunningham mansion to see Calder Cunningham to talk about his decision to no longer help fund the center. His father who has recently passed away was always a supporter to the Center and Lily and her father were always grateful. So Lily just can’t understand how Calder could in good faith go against his father’s normal support. At the mansion, she can get no acknowledgement that she is even there, no one answers at the gate, oh even talk on the box. Even when she stoops to flashing the camera with her breasts still nothing. Finally she feeling desperate and determined to speak with Mr Cunningham, hops over the gate. Soon she is tackled to the ground, by a guard for trespassing onto the estate, only to see the guard is no other then Mr Calder Cunninhgam himself. Raining at the time of tackle, Lily is wet, muddy and just a mess and befuddled of her situation. Calder bring Ms Cunningham into the mansion so that she can dry, change and perhaps talk. Lily not knowing how bad the weather had gotten is told by Calder that she is more or less stuck, with no way to get back to home with the current rain conditions. While stuck with Calder she gets to know him and see first hand he like a challenge or perhaps a game A “Wicked Game” – who will win. What’s the prize, Why the mystery.. it’s seems no one but his cook lives here with Mr Cunningham, is there a secret he’s keeping. Story is really interesting, some steamy sex scenes indeed with a surprise clue to why Mr Cunningham is unable to help, not unwilling…

Coming Back To You by Devon Youngblood –

91eBIOYzQML._SL1500_ ABOUT: Maura is a twenty three year old who is still coping with her parents’ sudden death two years ago. She recently graduated from college and now has her own catering business. A best friend-roommate who has been there through it all and helps make life manageable.
Until her first love Pierson Hammer comes walking back into her life.
Pierson has demons of his own, after serving in the military for five years. Tormented from his past and present. he comes home hoping to make amends with Maura.
Can Maura forgive Pierson for leaving her all those years ago? Can she trust him with her future? Will she open herself up completely.

MARILYN’S REVIEW: This is a WOW for me, 2 reasons: first time author and she tackles a the huge issue of PTSD. Having personally worked at a military facility I have a soft spot for all military men and women that put themselves in harms way for us! Ms Youngblood gets kudos for both truly, she also writes this story from both POV of the characters, in the one book. Our main characters are Maura and Pierson who where high school sweethearts and each others firsts for everything… They had a long relationship but when Pierson decides to join the Marines he also decides he must sever ties with Maura. He feels she shouldn’t wait and that it’s not fair to her to wait he never even gives it a 2nd thought he just leaves. Many years have past for Maura and she has recovered from the loss and even had to deal with worse, the death of her parents. Heading out on the town with long time best friend Ruby they go to Club Aurora while there she swears she see’s Pierson, but they leave she feels it couldn’t have been true. Ruby confirms she’s not loosing her mind she did see him, Maura wonders why is he back in town, for how long, will he leave again. Maura now the owner of a successful catering business is contacted by Pierson’s mom she would like her to cater a welcome party for him, Maura is now aware she will have to see him. They briefly chat at his party and she now know’s that he is now here to stay, is looking for a home and work, with an impending interview coming up soon. They do start to date again and slowly reconnect with each other, neither had truly ever gotten over the other or even moved on. But their is a difference in Pierson that only upon staying over at his place one night, she is suddenly awaken by Pierson’s hand around her throat, scarde for her safety she leaves, After a few days and many messages and some encouragement from her friend Ruby, she talks to Pierson. He then informs her of his years in the military and the emotional scares that remain in his heart and mind. He had forgotten to take a medication he’s on and it lead to one of his many nightmarish nights. He apologizes over and over, explains the reasons for the PTSD and the treatment he is receiving. She is willing to give the whole thing another try and slowly things return to normal, but when over his house he has her sleep in his room with the doors locked for her safety, he’s having less nightmares but will never risk hurting her again. Soon Maura ask him to try and sleep in bed together and they come to this place, we’re he’s much more calm, therapy is helping, work is good he’s ready to continue his life with her. Peirson starts with asking Maura to move in and then not long after asks her to marry him. As there wedding date comes closer, Peirson is involved in a car accident and ends up in the hospital, Maura hides that this accident has caused the death of 2 people, worried that this could be a huge set back for him. She wonders if she’s doing the right thing, but since the accident was in no way his fault she sees no harm in keeping the horrific part it from him. They get married everything is just right, they we’re meant to be together and live happily ever after. Both with flurrishing jobs, good friends, a wonderful home and more importantly each other. The authors notes this story will continue but from other characters and I can see it work, there is know need to go back to Maura & Peirson, they grew to be a wonderful couple and tackled so much to get to where they are. A great read a wonderful first book, impressive truly.

Now standing on her own two feet she may finally learn exactly who she is, what’s she’s capable of and how very un plain Jane she really is.

ALEXANDRIA’S REVIEW:

I’m surprised I didn’t like this because there were many good reviews on goodreads and amazon. I think a part of it was the grammatical errors that popped up every couple of sentences. The author seems to love “at the moment” or something like that because she used it five times in one chapter. The characters were unbelievable and while I understand the importance to bringing awareness to bullying, I felt like it didn’t match up. The author seemed to have an idea, which was good, I think, but she didn’t achieve heart. I don’t know. Maybe these characters were just too young for me. Anyways, I probably won’t be reading her other work because I feel that the grammatical errors were way too frequent and not worth my money.

Bent By HB Heinzer – @HBHeinzer

BENT COVER ABOUT: If there’s one thing Julia Wilson has learned in life, it’s that you can’t push your own dreams to the background for anyone. Newly divorced, Julia returns to the hometown she once swore would never return too. Her plan is simple; enjoy the cheap rent her friend is offering and stay just long enough to develop a plan to make her own dreams come true. It doesn’t take long before Julia realizes she’s made a big mistake. Micah Anderson came closer to breaking Julia than anyone else ever had. After promising her forever, he broke her heart the week before she left for college. Now, Julia’s back in town and he’s going to have to tell her the truth about why he left her. It’s not possible to hide a twelve year old child when you live in a town of 5,000 people. Is following her dreams worth it if it means giving up on a second chance with her first love? Is trying to make a relationship work worth it if his past becomes a threat to her safety?

MARILYN’S REVIEW: So I’m sure everyone thinks I rate everything 5 stars – No I don’t LOL – But again I choose a 5 star rating for ‘Bent.’ There’s a lot of real life circumstances in this story that are vital to a woman and her total self. Julia was previously married for a good period of time. After ending her marriage, she feels the need to return home regroup and more importantly find herself. She had gone from a long high school relationship that ended with a broken heart, To a marriage that wasn’t really meant to be at all and ended thou it truly never began. Julia needs to find Julia – her needs, her wants, her life – she feels she’s never done anything she truly wanted. Returning back to her home town she runs into Micah her long term High School relationship that ended with her with crushed and broken heart. Julia also never really new the true story of the real reason for the break-up other then Micah felt a long distance relationship just wouldn’t work, with that decision firm in place he also turns to another woman. Once back in her home town Julia reconnects with many friends and family and just feels great being back somewhere well known, until she runs into Micah. Can she still have those feels from before even with all the time that has past. Friends are telling her that he’s been through a tough time over the years, but are not giving specifics. Julia amd Micah do reconnect as much as she wants to deny the feelings she has, she just can’t and he has never lost those feelings for her. Things have changed in Micah’s life thou he is now a single father of Caleb his son who is 12 years old. Caleb is the creation of that one night mistake, but being a stand up man he marries Karen, Calebs’ mother. However, this relationship was doomed from the start because she was and never would be Julia. I found many times in this story that I just wanted to yell at Julia, she put up so many barriers for herself, can’t be, couldn’t be, won’t be. She can’t seem to even allow herself to the possibility that it could be. Though the 2 become closer through out the story, she feels she just can’t make this commitment because she still doesn’t know herself. Caleb through’s a wrench into this situation, because one thing Julia has never thought of is being a mother and she is so drawn to this boy it’s just confusing her. She leaves them, after a horrific encounter with Micah’s ex Karen physically and emotionally when she trashes her home, Julia runs far away. Takes a job in New York, insists she needs to find herself… Does she. Of course and we have a happily ever after ending. But this is true to so many woman out there. We tend to forget sometimes about our own needs, goals and wants. But can so easily through it away because it’s truly been right there, and yes it can be just that simple. Sweet is just a perfect way to describe this story, sex not hot and steamy but works it the grand scheme of the entire story… we most definitely can have continuation to this story itself and even a spin-off story, Which I truly hope we get both. Well done and I Loved it, what can I say.

HIM by Carey Heywood – @Careylolo

17668976ABOUT:Sarah Miller hasn’t been home in seven years. She thought she could stay away forever. If it wasn’t for her big brother’s wedding, that is. Part of her even feels silly for staying away this long. It’s not like anyone even knew what happened. Well, except for him.
That guy. The one she compared all others to. The one who set the bar so high no other guy after him could even compete. The one who made her feel like anything was possible. The one she thought she would never be good enough for. The one she spent the last seven years trying to forget.
All she needs to do is make it through the next week without running into him.
MARILYN’S REVIEW:“HIM” has all high school romance and remembrance that any love story could have. Sarah meets “HIM” many years ago and can’t believe later in life when reunited, those feeling never truly left. But they have to go backwards into their pasts to remember things that happened good and bad, that got them to a not being together place now. Sarah hasn’t seen Will in years, and is only going to see him because she is in the upcoming wedding of her bother and soon to be wife’s Christine. Will still being very close to Sarah’s brother Brian is also of course part of the wedding party.
Leaving Denver to go back home for the week prior to the wedding festivities she knows there are many chances that they will run into each other, and she sure she can handle this. The story goes back and fourth with Past and Present, and is indicated very well of that by the author, your never wondering exactly what time frame your in. Sarah and Will have been best friends all through High School and though she fond him very attractive, the return feelings are not there, But know one other person know’s Sarah’s like Will does. During School they do end up dating when Will realizes he has more feeling for his “friend” then his girlfriend Jessica. They are blissfully happy and though Sarah’s parents are on board Will’s parents are not, and feel he could do better the Sarah. It’s first love in it’s purest form, sweet and heartfelt. It reminds you that the first one can be the right one, and even if life gets in the way, you can find your way back to ‘HIM”. I was touched by this story and can wait for ‘HER’ – Carey Heywood has a long career ahead I have no doubt, her writing is just straight forward, simple and real life like. It brings you back in time, loved every minute of it.
Happy Ever Afters do happen… She reminds us of this.

What Wendy Wants By Nikki Sex – @NikkiSexAuthor

wendy-highlighted1ABOUT:

After thirteen years of marriage and three children, Wendy Hayward is bored with sex.

As much as she loves her husband, Frank, Wendy married “Mr. Vanilla.” Now she reads nothing but erotic romance on her Kindle and fantasizes about having sex with fictional characters, complete strangers, and tattooed rock stars. Sometimes even the T.V. weatherman looks good.

One fateful day however, her husband grabs the wrong Kindle on the way to work, and discovers some of Wendy’s more “interesting’ fantasies. Unbeknownst to Wendy, Frank is very keen to fulfill every one of her secret desires. . .”

MARILYN’S REVIEW:

This story is truly great, but could so easily be everyone’s worst nightmare come true!!  With a great ending it should teach everyone to make sure there own Kindle is unique and different from anyone else’s in the household.  You may not want anyone to know what’s on your Kindle LOL which is exactly what happens in this story. Wendy’s husband Frank also known as “Mr Vanilla” accidentally takes Wendy’s Kindle to work, not knowing what Wendy has been reading – a lot of hot, steamy and erotic books.  She is mortified wondering what will he think knowing that his wife is reading these types of books. This story also take place literally where I live, in Colorado Springs, Co by the 5 star hotel ‘The Broadmoor’, so that was kind of neat.  So Frank begins to read one of the erotic stories, and realizes what his marriage has lost with the passage of time. Their  sex life has become “Vanilla” or just flat out boring. Frank takes this very seriously and is determined to bring what has been lost by bringing passion back into their bedroom.  He reads, takes notes and learns as much as he can from these books, which in turn takes him shopping to an adult book and toy store.  This book is a, I think, true perfect reality check for the everyday married couple We do put seemingly unimportant things into the background of our lives that are still truly vital to a close marriage.  We do it so easily with children, work and just everyday life and make it become less important part of our lives, but sex is a form of communication and not only love. I was very pleased and thrilled with this book, because as horrified as I might be if my husband got a hold of my own Kindle. Thank you Wendy & Nikki Sex for a bit of a reality check, very worth while.

Until he sees his high school fantasy, Keary Galloway – alone, divorced, and longing for physical thrills. But can he masquerade as a cover model? Will satisfying their sexual needs for the duration of the conference be enough to get her out of his system? Or will he lust for more?
MARILYN’S REVIEW: I found ‘Conference Cupid’ enjoyable because it’s all about an up and coming romance author attending a book conference. The story revolves around this conference and in the grand scheme of things and how this genre of reading has exploded, it’s timing was kind of Great! Keary the aspiring author joins friends and fellow romance writers at a book conference, not knowing the hotel owner is someone she met many years ago in her youth. Devin has had Keary on his mind for years and just can’t believe he’s about to see her for a whole weekend, because his hotel is hosting a romance book conference, for authors that writer of romance stories. His cousin Pete is also there this particular weekend, as a book cover model, looking so much alike they decided to tease the woman and both pose as book cover models. For Devin this is his way to see and reconnect with Keary. Keary’s friends are trying to get her back into the dating scene, after a divorce they want her to get back into the game. She of course gets her picture taken with almost double image of each other hunky book models, not knowing she actually know’s one of them. She connects with Devin, and is soon swept of her feet into a hot weekend romance, how will she feel after she learns he’s been playing to be someone else…. From the moment I first met Gideon Cross, I recognized something in him that I needed. Something I couldn’t resist. I saw the dangerous and damaged soul inside–so much like my own. I was drawn to it. I needed him as surely as I needed my heart to beat.

No one knows how much he risked for me. How much I’d been threatened, or just how dark and desperate the shadow of our pasts would become.

Entwined by our secrets, we tried to defy the odds. We made our own rules and surrendered completely to the exquisite power of possession…(

ALEXANDRIA’A REVIEW:

I LOVED this book. To be honest, when I first picked it up and started reading, I was nervous it would be another book with sex on every other page. It had a lot of it but somehow, Sylvia Day has me more connected with the characters. I felt more in depth with them and able to read it and feel for them.

The ending felt a bit rushed to me. Like, the author wanted to throw that last part in for the heck of it. BUT the drama that came out in the end had my flying through the last few pages. I needed to know what happened and of course, Sylvia is going to make us wait for book #4 :) Which is fine, makes FINALLY reading it worth it!

I highly recommend this series. I didn’t like Fifty Shades of Grey  for many reasons and this is a wonderful substitute. More realistic.

Beautiful Bitch By Christina Lauren – @lolashoes @seeCwrite

1373249172000-Beautiful-Bitch-1307072207_3_4_r537_c0-0-534-712ABOUT: Picking up where Beautiful Bastard left off, Chloe Mills and Bennett Ryan continue their steamy, combative relationship.
Just when Chloe’s career starts to take off, Bennett wishes it would all slow down long enough to spend a wild night alone with his girlfriend. But after he refuses to take no for an answer, Chloe and Bennett find themselves with two plane tickets, one French Villa, and a surprising conversation that, predictably, leaves them wrestling under the covers.

MARILYN’S REVIEW: Our story of Bennett & Chloe starts where they left off and gives us some back story to what has also happened in the last year. All has not been bliss for our lovers, they’ve fought, they have been kept apart by work. Bennett is opening a new office for Ryan Media Group, which has him traveling for long periods of time. But these issues have made a far gone conclusion slap them in the face of awareness, they no longer want to be apart. They are better together and miss each other terribly when not together. We have a short / novella type of story here, and leads us to a much deserved vacation for Bennett & Chloe in France. Nice place to rip up some La Perla panties and have hot and steamy love making. Bennett asks Max, his English mate (Beautiful Stranger), to borrow his villa there in Provence. It take a couple planes delays, because nothing ever goes smoothly for Bennett & Chloe but they finally do get to have a vacation Together, that has been long time coming. With impending move to New York this private time together is valued and they see that there is nothing but future together for them forever…Bennett has one last thing unfinished business need he still needs a finance person for the New York Office, hmmm could Sara (Beautiful Stranger) be that person, Chloe hopes so… Our authors did us proud and hands down have a long career and partnership going. The Next Forever (Entangled Ever After) by Lisa Burstein

17237958 ABOUT:

Away at college, Amy just wants one night alone without her high school sweetheart, Joe. So when he invites her to go to the library, she heads off on her own instead. How she ended up at a house party with the mysterious bad-boy Trevor is another story…

Joe so isn’t going to the library. He needs space from Amy, too, so he’s decided to rush a fraternity, to get back the swagger he had in high school. But it doesn’t take long for the brothers to invite him to the real rush–where the beer is flowing and one particular girl has set her eyes on Joe.

Over the course of one wild night, both Amy and Joe will have to decide if their futures belong with two new people, or whether the next forever will have their first loves in it.

ALEXANDRIA’S REVIEW:

I so wanted to love this book. It was getting some pretty good reviews and when I was trying to figure out what to read next, something about it grabbed me. But oh my gosh this was awful. These characters are supposed to be in college but they act like they are in high school. The whole book takes place over one night. That’s it. A frat party. I was reading the book on my kindle and I realized how long the party was going on (really dragging on) so I looked at the percentage I was at and realized I was at 67%. I think my mouth dropped and I was instantly annoyed. I kept thinking, so this is the story? A frat party and an insecure girl’s thoughts? Nothing really even happened with the characters. They’re boring and the title makes no sense to the book.
I am not trying to rag on the author, at all. The writing was okay and clearly other people have liked it. But the book at the end of the day…not worth my money. I was impressed, though, with the inner dialogue, which carried the book. I don’t know. Decide for yourself, I guess.

Fantasy Encounter with a Dom by Suzy Ayers – @SuzyAyers

B00D0LUO7U_01_LZZZZZZZABOUT: Keira and Tim’s sex life is more then lacking; it’s all but non-existent for Keira. Unknown even to her, she’s in this downward spiral of depression. Her body has betrayed her and maybe her husband is aloof or unsure what to do. She knows that the mixture of pain/pleasure of BDSM excites her and it seems to be the only way for her to achieve orgasm. Keira meets a submissive over the internet and somehow she must convince her husband that they should be trained by a Dom/sub couple in the UK.

MARILYN’S REVIEW:This is a tough one for me, because on one hand it hits home for me, because I have issues with my own body that prevents sex to not always be pleasurable but actually painful. SO that was beyond refreshing to read, made me feel not alone. But at the same time this story was a little bit to much BDSM for me, and the thoughts of learning from another couple, I just don’t know if that would be for me. Though it might be for others. Keira a reader of erotica and potential author of erotica as well did relieve me to see that the reading does help in your own sexual arousal. Suzy Ayers, writes with realizism and depth. But I’m not sure this particular story is for everyone. I might in the end say it wasn’t quite for me.

VERDICT: this one not really me

Raina has tried to forget her past, forget the pain, but when she finds herself staring straight into the fury blazing in her ex-boyfriend’s eyes, her dark past comes rushing back. Furious with herself for actually having chosen someone like her father, she uses that anger to her advantage and fights for her life…and for her future that she prays will involve the man she can’t seem to get out of her head. Kas is a natural leader, a fierce fighter, the type of man you send in when you need to get the job done. Saving Rain is intended for readers 18 and older.(less)

ALEXANDRIA’S REVIEW:

I read this book in about two days and while over all it was a good read, I struggled understanding and keeping interested. It’s very sad and almost frightening in the beginning and I think that is what paused my love for the book. I always love a book, though, that you know that the character are meant to help each other. And that is what this book has!

In the end I did enjoy it and I think I’ll read it again soon to give it another shot. But there was something off for me.

VERDICT:
Give it a shot. You may just fall in love with the characters :)

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

karen
I am a new author and have recently discovered that I am now addicted to writing.  My first novel, Saving Rain, was originally going to be a single novel, but  it quickly turned into a trilogy.  I fell in love with the characters and had to continue with the story. Saving Rain is a new adult contemporary romance meant for readers 18 and older.
I live in the mountains with my family, and I love to read, hike, and travel when I am not writing.  I am a sucker for romance, especially a book with a strong alpha male who has a sensitive side.  I also enjoy a good mystery and thrillers.  My favorite author is James Patterson, he is an amazing writer.
With being a newbie, I am just learning all the ropes, but I’m loving the wild ride.  I plan on writing for as long as my fingers have dexterity.

Sharing Pleasures – Book 1 – The Richmond by Victoria Dunne – @erotic_lit

SHARING PLEASURES
ABOUT: Alex has always fantasized about seeing his wife, Diane, pleasured by other men. With the purchase of a very realistic dildo and one very hot leather corset, Alex is now ready to introduce Diane to the idea of taking on other lovers while he watches. Will Diane be open to this new direction in their relationship? Will Alex regret this choice and how will this decision take a toll for the good or bad of their marriage?

REVIEW: In a way it wasn’t really even for me. But there was also a sense of reality to this story. Alex & Diane have been a happily married couple for many years who find themselves with their grown child out of the house, hence “Empty Nest” – Diane has had a personal transformation of life having lost weight and toned her body and bringing that self confidence back to herself. Alex follows suit with his wife and Bow Flex becomes a daily routine and he has to make a transformation of his own. They, as a couple, have always had a good sex life it has just turned into more experimental. Having told each other their own personal fantasies they decide to take act them. Diane learns that Alex has fantasied about watching his wife with other men; will they play out this scenario. How will Diane feel about her husband’s fantasy and will Alex regret this?…should Diane agree.

Diane & Alex now frequent a local bar that had live music and good overallvibe, friendly people, great and friendly staff that have become to know them well. The perfect setting to perhaps make this dream fantasy until a reality scene. Also Alex has become a regular at an adult store that has toys and wonderful sexy clothing that he loves to surprise Diane with. A certain leather corset helps this untold fantasy become a erotic reality for both. Diane having and oozing self confidence has no problem turning a head or two…

Being a short read I would say exceptionally hot the fantasy becomes life, and I’m sure perhaps this happens more in marriages than people think, and why this may not work for a relationship to add spice this way, Kudos to them.

Would I read more from Victoria Dunne – I have no doubt that I would indeed, would I act on them? probably not. But change of pace reading is a great quality to a reader, exposure to different and new things is good for the mind, it bring thought, possibilities and exploration. I don’t think that is ever a bad thing.

VERDICT: Not For Everyone.
